It’s time for a change: we need more women in tech.

How come jobs in tech and web programming are dominated by men? Why there are almost no women working in the tech field?

During World War II and for decades following, women held most of the positions in communications and IT but everything changed in the 70s and 80s, when media and tech magazines began promoting these roles as inherently male. Since then, the tech industry has been dominated by men, who alone are known as “geeks” or “nerds”. That cliché still has a lot of impacts today. —but it’s time for a change. We at Tech Jobs Fair strongly believe in gender equality, and its importance to all realms of society, including business. Check out this infographic to learn more about the situation of women in tech, the challenges the field still faces, and potential solutions to overcome them.
