Czech Technical University in Prague is one of the largest and oldest technical universities in Europe.
Currently, CTU has eight faculties (civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, nuclear and physical engineering, architecture, transport, biomedical engineering, information technology). Over 18,000 students study there.

For the academic year 2019/20, CTU offers its students 170 accredited degree programs, including 53 in a foreign language. CTU educates technical experts, scientists and managers with foreign language skills who are dynamic, flexible and able to adapt quickly to market requirements.
CTU in Prague is currently ranked in the following positions according to the QS World University Rankings, which rated 1,620 universities around the world. In the QS World University Rankings, CTU ranked 498th and 9th in the regional ranking of “Emerging Europe and Central Asia”. In the “Engineering – Civil and Structural” evaluation, CTU ranks between 151 – 200, in the “Engineering – Mechanical” area at 201 – 250, and in the “Engineering – Electrical” position at 201 – 250. In the area of ”Physics and Astronomy” in the 201st to 250th place, the “Natural Sciences” ranked on the 283rd place. Material Sciences’ at 301 – 350 and in Engineering and Technology, CTU is at 256th.
