The International Recruiting Initiative (IFÖ)

The International Recruiting Initiative (IFO), developed by the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKO), seeks to address Austria’s skilled labour shortage. In response to the declining working-age population and the growing scarcity of skilled workers, IFO implements targeted measures in specific focal countries outside of the EU. These strategic efforts facilitate and expand the recruitment of qualified professionals from the shortage occupation list, making them accessible to member companies.
